Save the date!
Dear friends,

Last summer, in July and August, project Five Two Eight O brought you and your neighbors to a theatre near your home to tell stories about your lives. Artists, dancers and theatre professionals translated your stories into creative work. 3 days later, you returned to the theatre for an exhibit/performance and to participate in lively dialogue about what your neighborhood is, who lives there, what you think it needs, and what you appreciate about living there.

Whether you were able to join us or not, you are cordially invited to the finale of this remarkable project: an evening's gala celebration of our four participating communities: Berkeley-Regis, the Santa Fe Arts District, Lowry and Five Points.

Held at the Crossroads Theatre (27th and Welton) on the evening of Thursday, February 5, the event will revisit the themes that the stories suggested, showcasing filmmaker Stephanie Perez' documentary about the project. Our exhibit will bring back the art that was created, and you may be invited to return the stage to tell more stories.

This time, it's a combined story-stage-party that will include those of you from all four neighborhoods. We'll ask you to share ideas about the role for stories and creative practices such as fine art, dance, theatre, poetry and music in community building.

There will be plenty of food, music and opportunities to meet interesting, vibrant people from all over Denver.
